Lunasurf Wetsuits

Long swims, cold water, and endless attempts are just part of sessions like this. Surfers like Kevin Meza—inventive, having fun, and completely themselves—show what happens when you chase a new move or push a trick no one else has tried.

Lunasurf wetsuits, made with premium Yamamoto neoprene, are built for that kind of surfing. They move with you, keep you warm, and hold up in real conditions—durable, lightweight even when wet, and flexible enough for anyone spending time in the water.

Lunasurf wetsuits aren’t just for pros. They’re designed for everyone, no matter where you are on your surfing journey—men, women, or children. The goal is simple: stay stoked, stay warm, and stay in the water. Whether you’re chasing your first wave, trying new tricks, or just enjoying every session, Lunasurf is made to keep up and support your own surfing journey.

At Lunasurf, it’s about real surfers, real water, real gear—gear that works, wherever your session takes you.

"Kevin Meza — better known as the Baja Koala — is one of the most creative surfers pushing progression forward in real time. At his home break of San Miguel in Ensenada, Mexico, he set out to land a never-been-done surf trick in the ocean.

This video takes you behind the scenes of my first time meeting Kevin Meza, documenting an in-water session at his home break as he attempts — and lands — the Finger Flip, a maneuver inspired by skateboarding and nearly unheard of in surfing. Especially landing it in the ocean outside of a wave pool.

The challenge was real. The Finger Flip is dangerous, technical, and unforgiving. A surfboard’s fins are sharp, and there is zero margin for error. Kevin had already suffered a serious head injury while practicing the trick at a wave pool in Waco, Texas — proof of just how high the stakes were.

Filming this from the water added another layer of complexity. Swimming alongside Kevin, I captured the moment in 4K at 120fps using the Sony A7Siii, documenting the exact second the Finger Flip was landed — clean, in the ocean, and from a perspective few people ever see.

During the session, Kevin lands the Finger Flip three different times — an achievement only one or two surfers in the world have ever come close to.

This isn’t just a surf clip.

It’s a behind-the-scenes look at progression, creativity, risk, and what it takes to push surfing into new territory — captured from inside the water.

Welcome to San Miguel — from the lineup."
