Designed for surfers who demand speed, drive and control, the Lunasurf Medium New Frontiers (NF-M) thruster fins are built to perform in fast, powerful surf. Whether you’re laying into long drawn-out carves or snapping off the top, the NF template gives you the drive and stability to push harder — with a thinner tip for rapid response and a controlled free-flow feel at all speeds.

Each Medium NF set features a unique spray. All 3 fins in the set are the same size.

Who It’s For

Generally suited to surfers weighing 65–88kg (145–195lbs), but many larger surfers also love the Medium NF in their step-up boards. In bigger, punchier waves, the ocean generates so much natural speed that less fin surface area is actually an advantage — sizing down gives better control and allows the fin to flex and hold through powerful turns without breaking free.

Less drag, better control: because powerful waves propel the board much faster, a smaller fin reduces drag and stops the board feeling too stiff. At higher speeds you’ll rely more on your rail to navigate the wave, meaning you need less fin area acting as an anchor.

Honeycomb Construction

The honeycomb fin construction keeps the lively flex properties and the weight down. A great, reliable, all round choice for a variety of boards and surfing conditions.

Foil

Flat foiled fins break free sooner, and are better at controlling speed. Often surfers prefer them in fast powerful surf where they do not need to create additional speed. If you have muscle memory from riding glass-ons, flat foiled fins will feel the closest.
